Violin Lessons: Are They Fun? You Bet They Are! Just Ask Kiara!
ByThis is a story about a little girl called Kiara.
Kiara’s story started when she came in for Band Camp with Her Brothers who were here for rock camp. She also came in every week while her Brothers take their music lessons.
During her time in the studio, Kiara began to take an interest in violin and seemed enamoured by Beth Bartley our violin teacher. One day Beth had a student cancellation which gave her some open time. She took Kiara in and showed her the strings and explained the names of each of the strings on the violin. Amazingly Kiara remembered them all!
Because of her interest, we loaned her a small violin and began lessons with Beth. She practiced all week, and as you can see in the picture, made her boyfriend listen as well.
Since her first lesson, her Mom bought Kiara a new “Purple Violin” and she’s learning to play “Mississippi Hot Dog” with Alexander, another of our violin students.
Here’s a video with Kiara playing with Beth and Alexander in her first lesson with her new violin.
This is what music lessons are all about.
Hope you enjoy!
Anne.

I love it when older students start to help the younger students. All of our students look out and help the newer students. Just like an extended family.

That is really lovely to see our granddaughter with her purple violin. She loved also my banjo when she was in Holland. So cute! It is true that the richest child is poor without musiceducation. Kiara, we are proud of you and we hope we can hear you playing when we are in your house in summer! Love from opa and oma.

Way to go Kiara! You are off to a great start! Your purple violin sounds very sweet…maybe when you’re ready for a bigger size you’d like to try the Raspberry Pink one. It is beautiful too! Keep up the great work and keep having fun!
