Tim, her teacher keeps things fun, and Jess really enjoys going there. Anne is to be commended for her dedication in helping the students reach their potential. The bands she has put together give the students a wonderful opportunity to get out there and play. That's what it's all about! Thanks for all your hard work guys. I'm Tim. I teach drums at Rysons. My main focus with students is to teach them that music is a language. Rhythm is a major part of that language. Without it, you just have notes. Rhythm is everywhere. Even as you read this note. The sentences have rhythm to them. Learn the rhythm, learn the language. Then you can have a musical conversation with other musicians! This is also knows as a "Jam session," and works the same way for all styles of music. I love when students work hard and ask questions. Playing, and talking about drums is the best part of my day. The teacher's there are the nicest people you'll meet. Every Tuesday is my drum lesson with Tim, It's definitely the highlight of my week. Anne put together an all girl's band called The Rockin' Daisies, I love being a part of this band, and love to jam with the girls!! :D THANK YOU!! :] I’ve been taking drum lessons at Ryson’s Music for 4 years now, and I’ve learned so much about music. The glue is that she is tireless in her commitment to her students. I chose Rysons after the first call. Anne described a vision for her students so compelling I couldn’t wait for my son to start. Rysons offered not only lessons but they give their students the opportunity to work together as a team of musicians in one the many band camps that they offer throughout the year. In fact it was through the band camps that my son was offered the chance to become a member of the Golden Hammers, a band formed by Rysons. Dave and Jordan, both guitar teachers and Tim, my son's drum teacher work very hard with the bands to get the right sound and we can't thank them enough for all the extra time that they put in and support they offer to our children. They inspire the kids to want to do their best. My family has enjoyed becoming members of the extended family that Anne and Don have created at Rysons. They make learning music exciting and I couldn't help but catch the bug myself. I signed up to take some lessons the other day. Wish my new teacher Lauren luck; I think she may need it. Without the teachers and Anne, I don't think the experience would be quite the same. My guitar teacher Dave Tufford helps me learn the kind of music I like and suggests song that he thinks I would like. I look forward to my lessons every week, but not only because I get to play my instrument, but I get to have fun. Every time I come home after a lesson I'm smiling. I have also been given the opportunity to play in the Rockin' Daisies, which is amazing.
