FiddleFest A Tremendous Success!
By AnneFiddlefest and Car Show was a tremendous success on Saturday with many
cars and great contestants!
I’d like to thank all of the contestants for participating in the event. I hope everyone had a good time.
Part of the sponsored proceeds went toward scholarships for the students.

- Kelly Buckley our bag piper, (who also plays a variety of instruments for weddings and private parties), played a lovely tune for our soldiers who are overseas .

- My sincere appreciation to Silver Spire and Minister Roseanne Vita and Peter and Jean Price and all the members who open their hearts and doors to us in our time of need due to the storm so that we could start fiddlefest and for their wonderful barbecue and great hospitality.

hi my name is Natasha. this year i helped out with fiddle fest. it was the funnest time i ever had and i made so many new friends. Anne from Rysons let me help. she is the coolest. thank you Anne and Rysons.

Bagpipers were a nice beginning, fiddlers were great, step dancers were exciting. Anne, you are to be highly complimented for presenting a fabulous event!

Fiddlefest is a wonderful addition to the Downtown Carshow!! I am always excited to see the amazing talent that emerges from not only Niagara, but from all around Ontario! Anne, you did a wonderful job at putting everything together! The activities for the children was a nice touch!

Fiddlefest was a great learning and fun adventure for students of Fiddling. Not only did they get to compete they also were exposed to step dancing, bagpipe playing and learning how they all came together in a fun and exciting day.

Loved the stepdancing, and the Fiddle jam at the end.

Fiddlefest was a great Saturday in St. Catharines. Thanks to Anne for all the work she has done in promoting this event. The prize money being larger this year will definately attract more competitors in future years as the word gets out. All the best with plans for Fiddlefest 2010!

Hi Anne. loved the Fiddle Fest. Surprised so many kids my age were playing fiddles and step dancing. It was NOT boring. I am 8 yrs old.

Thank you, Anne and all your helpers, for your hard work in putting together a successful Fiddle Fest. We are so glad the weather decided to cooperate after all. Christopher was very happy to take part in Fiddle Fest again this year. It was a pleasure to hear so many talented fiddlers, young and old.

Fiddlefest was a great time for all and after a while, even the weather co-operated. Anne works so hard at getting this event to come to fruition. A big Bravo to Anne and to next year’s Fiddlefest.

Absolutely fabulous event. Kudos to all participants, organizers & sponsors. What a great way to promote the joy of music! Congrats to the City of St. Catharines and the Downtown Association for hosting such a fun event that made our city shine. Thanks Anne, you’ve done it again!

Another fabulous job Anne and team! The Fiddle Fest was busy again, even with the stormy weather. You’ve created a great day happening all around St. Paul Street outside of Silver Spire. I always hear great comments from the car owners on how much they like listening to the music from the festival as they enjoy the day walking around. Great idea and thank you! thank you! thank you! for all your hard work at putting it together!! We appreciate all your efforts.

Hey Anne, Great FiddleFest again this year. I especially want to thank the judges for their great support of my fiddling. Hope to place well next year in the 16/14 & under. Just again , Thnks to all the supporters, musicians, judges and You.

It had been quite a few years since I entered a contest, mainly because I have been too busy playing dances and shows to get to one.
It is great to have a local contest to go to. There need to be more of them. Next year get the city to spring for a larger tent. The audience far exceeded the set up capacity. Good for you.

Thankyou Anne Deyme(Rysons Music) for having the dream and vision for Fiddle Fest in Downtown St. Catharines. I know how much work you did to pull this off and many thankyous go out to you from all contestants and judges and volunteers. Without your vision, this would not have happened. Gratis.
